TCS offers training, employment to youth at KU

Srinagar, May 26: A senior delegation from Tata Consultancy Services Ltd (TCS) visited the Centre for Career Planning and Counseling, University of Kashmir, to offer training and employment opportunities for the youth of Jammu and Kashmir.
The representative from TCS reiterated the fact that the State of Jammu & Kashmir has a rich talent pool of educated youth and TCS has initiated a series of majors to train and recruit the youth and to place them across the country, an official spokesman said in a statement.
Prof Farooq Ahmed Khan, Director Centre for Career Planning and Counseling said that the centre has ambitious plans of providing training and employment opportunities to the youth of Jammu & Kashmir and promoting the talent pool of the State.
He further added that the Centre for Career Planning and Counseling is organizing recruitment drives by leading companies like ONGC, Infosys, Accenture, HDFC and Wipro.
Tata Consultancy Services Limited is a leader in the global marketplace and among the top 10 technology firms in the world, an official spokesman said in a statement.
“The company intends to train Graduates from the State of Jammu & Kashmir for a period of 90 days and based on their performance trained graduates would be considered for placement for various positions in Tata Consultancy Services (TCS),” the spokesman said.
