Teach Pakistan a lesson: Cong MP

AKHNOOR, Oct 22 :  Madan Lal Sharma Member Parliament Jammu Poonch Constituency after interacting with the victims of border shelling and firing at Najwal, Pargwal appealed the Union Government to teach Pakistan a lesson on both diplomatic front as well as on the ground.
He said that people of border areas are living under great threat, fear because of continuous firing which has forced the people to migrate from their houses. He called for stern retaliation of all attempts of Pakistan from across the border.
Mr. Sharma demanded construction of bunkers for the civil population in border villages, so that they can take shelter in case of heavy firing and shelling. He informed that in view of heavy shelling and cease-fire violations by the Pakistani Army in Jammu, Samba, Rajouri and Poonch districts people who are unable to move from their houses be given relief and ration.
Mr. Sharma also demanded increase in compensation to victims of border firing and shelling at par with the victims of militancy in Jammu & Kashmir i.e from Rs. one lakh to five lakhs. He also demanded insurance cover to life, property, cattle and crops of the people residing on the borders and asked the Administration to access the crop losses and other losses in border villages and provide suitable compensation to the people.
