RAJOURI, Feb 28: A Government teacher and a youth were arrested by police for attack on a villager over a land dispute in Thanamandi area of district Rajouri today.
A police spokesman said that over a land dispute, teacher Mohd Farooq, son of Mohd Misri and Muzamil Hussain, son of Meerbaz, residents of Palangar, Thannmandi allegedly attacked one Mohd Issac of the same village. Issac, who was carrying on construction work at the disputed land despite stay from court, received serious injuries and was shifted to Thanamandi hospital.
The police party led by SHO, Fareed Ahmed Choudhary arrested accused persons Mohd Farooq and Mizamil and registered a case FIR No. 40/ 2021 against them. Further, investigation was in progress.
