MENDHAR, Apr 19: A Govt teacher and two others were booked by police for committing murderous attack on two persons at Mendhar here today.
A police officer told the Excelsior that Master Lal Mohd, posted at Govt High School, Awan Kalaban, Mendhar in district Poonch and two others have been booked in case FIR No. 66/ 2017 under sections 307, 382, 323, 504, 506 RPC at Mehdhar Police Station. The police alleged that Govt teacher had allegedly attacked one 75-year-old Shahjehan (Handicapped person) and one Fazal hailing from Kalaban area at a religious place at Mendhar today. Shahjehan along with his relatives had gone to the mosque in connection with the marriage (Nikah) of his daughter Tahira (25), with one Tauseef Ahmed, son of Nazir, hailing from Nakka Majari. They were talking with the Moulvi.
Lal Mohd, a relative of the girl who opposed this marriage, allegedly attacked girl’s father and another with lathi causing them serious injuries. The injured, bleeding profusely were rushed to local hospital. The police reached the spot and it arrested the teachers and other accused persons and registered a case against them. Further investigation was in progress.
