POONCH, Jan 6: A teacher was placed under suspension for being absent from duty while the Chief Education Officer stopped the sub-standard work being carried out in a Govt School building in Mendhar area today.
Official sources said that CEO Poonch, Abdul Hamid Fani during inspection at Govt Middle School, Dharati in Mankote zone of Mendhar found a teacher Saraswati Kumari unauthorisedly absent from duty. He placed the teacher under suspension.
The CEO found very sub-standard work being carried out in the Govt School building at Dhara Dullian under SSA scheme of the School Education Department. He directed the contractor to stop the work and directed ZEO to hold inquiry into the matter.
