Teacher suspended for flouting norms in Baramulla

SRINAGAR, Feb 1: The Chief Education Officer (CEO), Baramulla today suspended a Government teacher who was allegedly involved in teaching at a privately-run coaching centre.
As per an order issued here, Farooq Ahmad Khan, RRT PS New Colony Bangdara Zone Wagoora presently deployed at HSS Sheikh Pora, has been also attached to HSS Fathegari till further orders.
“On the instruction of the Director School Education Kashmir to verify the complaint against the RRT who is allegedly involved in teaching in a private coaching institute under the name and style of Pathfinder Baramulla situated at Ahmed Complex opposite Masjid Al-Rashaad Baramulla, an inspection team visited the spot on January 30, 2021 and reported that complaint was found on facts” the order reads.
During the inspection, the teacher concerned was asked to clarify under what orders he has engaged himself as a teaching faculty member in the private coaching centre even though there is a clear cut ban for Govt teachers.
“Instead of providing any convincing justification, the team reported that the teacher concerned reacted violently and used filthy and foul language to disgrace the visiting team”
The order adds that the teacher behaved “extraordinarily and threatened the visiting team that dire consequences will arise if any, disciplinary action is got initiated against him by the department.”
In the light of standing Government orders, the order issued by the CEO said, the teacher concerned has not only acted in gross violation of the instructions but “has also exhibited…absolute arrogance to disregard and disrespect the visiting team during their inspection to the said institution.”
