RAJOURI, June 6: Alleging misuse of Government funds allotted to Rajouri district for different educational schemes, various teacher organisations today asked Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to form a committee to probe the matter.
Addressing a press conference, Mohd Amin Mir, district president, Provincial Teacher Association, said that be it Government-funded projects like mid-day meal scheme or transfer of teachers, some officials have ignored norms and taken decision as per their whims and fancies.

Mir expressed annoyance over the transfer policy and added that in this regard, they approached Chief Education Officer (CEO) several times, but nothing has been done so far, compelling them to adopt agitational path.
He added that the teachers have been victimised unnecessarily and even after serving six to seven years in far-flung areas many have not been granted home postings.
Among others present were Shahbaz Khan, Chairman, Reg Employees Front, Sajad Mirza, president, United Sports Association, Manzoor Khan and Balbir Singh, president and general secretary, RET, Bashir Khan, Vice Chairman, Reg Employees Front, Rahil Ahmed and Vivek Kumar.
