Teachers concerned over delay in release of salaries

JAMMU, Oct 2: A joint meeting of ReT Teachers Forum, J&K Teacher’s Welfare Association & J&K United Teachers Federation was held today in which a strong resentment was expressed over the inordinate delay in the release of salary of ReTs, SSA Teacher’s/Master’s and General Line Teacher’s/ Master’s and release of 17% DA immediately.
Taking a strong exception over the inordinate delay every time in the release of salary of SSA Teachers/ Master’s for months together in this high rocketing prices, Mr Joginder Kumar Digra, President, ReT Teachers Forum, Zone Jammu,  Jasmeet Singh Madaan, State President, J&K Teacher’s Welfare Association and  Bua Ditta of J&K United Teachers Federation said that Government is adopting a dilly dallying practices in releasing the grants of salary which caused great hardships to the teacher community and many of the teachers/masters who have availed the Personal Loan, Housing Loan and Education Loan are the worst sufferers as they have to pay additional interest every time besides cheque bouncing charges.
They also warned to hold a protest demonstration tomorrow at 11 a.m. tomorrow in support of the demands.
