Teachers demand transfer policy

Excelsior Correspondent
RAJOURI, Apr 1: The Government teachers from district Rajouri appointed in Kashmir province under inter-district recruitment policy urged the State Government and Education Minister to frame a transfer policy for them so that they can return to their parent district.
Expressing their helplessness, a large number of Government teachers including Mohammad Rafi, Bushan Kumar and Sarfraz Ahmed from district Rajouri working in Kashmir province said that they were appointed as teachers under inter district recruitment and are working in Kashmir province for the past more than 10 years but unfortunately successive Governments paid no attention to their demand of transfer policy.
They said that repeated demands were made to previous NC-Congress coalition Government for framing transfer policy for them but no attention was paid and now they hope that the new BJP-PDP Government will redress their issue.
Urging Education Minister, Nayeem Akhter to pay attention to their demand, teachers said that Government should frame a transfer policy for them so that thousands of teachers working in Kashmir province can return to their home districts.
