JAMMU, Apr 24: A deputation of All Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh Teachers Federation today called on Principal Secretary Home Suresh Kumar, who is holding additional charge of Education Department.
The deputation, led by Maheshwar Prasad, Kuldeep Singh and Dr Vijay Kumar, apprised Suresh Kumar of the situation prevailing in the Education Department and the various problems being faced by the teaching community due to wrong transfer policy.
The deputation highlighted the teachers’ demands, which include selection Grade to Under Graduate teachers, removal of pay anomalies, creation of an healthy environment in the Education Department, a transparent transfer policy and initial higher start to the teachers who have joined the department before March 31, 1992.
The Principal Secretary gave a patient hearing to the deputation and assured full cooperation to the teaching community.
The deputation comprised of Virender Sharma, Kuldeep Singh, Mohan Singh, Gulzar Hussain, Mohd Qasim Malik, Ravinder Verma and others.
