Teachers don’t need any formal conferment: Govt

SRINAGAR, May 28: State Government today said the teachers hold an exalted position in the society and doesn’t need any formal conferment.
In reply to a question of MLC Vinod Gupta wherein he had asked whether State Government is considering to provide VIP protocol to the teaching community across the State, the Minister Incharge, School Education Department, said being custodians of the future generation the teachers get an exalted position in the State and this natural respect doesn’t need any formal conferment from the Government.
The Minister in reply to another question pertaining to long pending demands of ReTs, ReZs, physical education teachers and other adhoc/contractual faculty working in Government schools and colleges, said all genuine demands are considered in the light of extant rules.
