JAMMU, June 1: All Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh Teachers Federation has alleged that the School Education authorities were not cooperating with the teachers to impart their duties sincerely and teaching the students efficiently.
“Lawlessness in transfers is prevailing in the department as Masters of other districts are transferred to Jammu city with political, monitory and bureaucratic approach while the Jammu based Masters are being deployed in CEO office without post and salary for months,” said Maheshwar Prasad, while talking to media persons after a working committee meeting of the Federation, here today.
Pointing towards attachment of hundreds of Masters in the office of CEO Jammu, Kathua and Samba, he said that criminal silence of education authorities on the issue was another violation of fundamental rights of the teaching community.  Adjustment of Masters, Lecturers from other districts and Migrants against the posts in Jammu district should be avoided, he stressed and appealed the Director School Education to draw salary for over all cadre.
There is fear and resentment among the teaching community due to this injustice and  wrong policies, which are badly affecting  the moral of teachers thus ultimately adversely affecting the entire education system, the Federation leaders said and appealed the concerned authorities to stop autocratic attitude towards the School Education Department.
During the working committee meeting, which was held under the chairmanship of Bhushan S Verma and Maheshwar Prasad, the Federation highlighted various demands, including selection grade to Under Graduate teachers and holding an education conference in Jammu.
Mahinder Kapoor, all India general secretary of ABRSM was the chief guest in the working committee meeting, which was attended by Mohan Singh, Ravinder Verma, Mohd Kasim Malik, Gulzar Hussain, Arun Sharma, Narinder Bakshi, Ratan Lal Sharma, Kuldeep Singh, Prem Sharma, Kulbhushan Sharma, Kiran Pandita, Ajay Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Raj Kumar, Pardeep Kumar, Om Singh, Brahm Rattan, Bansi Lal Sharma and others.
