Teachers Federation apprises DSE about demands, issues

JAMMU, May 27: A deputation of All Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh Teachers Federation called on Director School Education Yasha Mudgal and apprised her of various long pending demands and issues of the teaching fraternity.
The deputation, led by Mohan Singh, Maheshwar Prasad, Raj Rani and Agya Kour, demanded filling up of vacant posts  of teachers, equipping schools as per modern techniques, review of Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation scheme, no extra assignments to teachers, increasing number of working days in Government schools by introducing special coaching classes, activation of  SIE and DIET, regular DPC, removal of pay anomaly, release of salary of teachers under SSA and RMSA, regularization of gazetted officers etc.
The Federation also drew attention of the Director towards bad condition of some school buildings, which need immediate repair and construction of additional blocks, particularly toilets etc.
The Federation also stressed for proper monitoring and supervision of the Government schools to improve their performance. The Director was suggested that each school should be supervised twice in a month by administrative officers, who should also interact with children as well as the staff members.
The deputation comprised of Shiv Dev Singh, Ashutosh Sharma, Krishan Lal Gupta, Rakesh Sharma, Prithvi Raj, Madan Lal, Kuldeep Raj, Varinder Kumar, Ravinder Verma, Pankaj Sharma, Arun Sharma, Narinder Bakshi, Mohd Qasim Malik, Paramjeet Singh, Gulzar Hussain, Manjeet Singh, Rattan Lal, Pardeep Kumar and others.
