POONCH, July 27: A delegation of All Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh Teachers Federation Poonch, called on Deputy Commissioner Poonch Rahul Yadav and submitted him a memorandum demanding implementation of Transfer Policy for the teachers.
The delegation, led by State vice-president of the Federation, Darshan Bharti and district president Mohinder Bali, apprised the Deputy Commissioner that there are hundreds of teachers in Poonch district who have been working in for flung areas and have not been transferred for the past 5 to 7 years whereas blue eyed and influential teachers have been serving within zero Kilometers for the past many years. They highlighted that the Education Department has its own transfer policy but not being implemented in true letter and spirit.
They demanded that the teachers, who have completed their fixed tenure in odd areas, be transferred suitably as per transfer policy. They demanded constitution of a Transfer Committee, headed by Joint Director so that deserving and genuine cases be treated on priority discouraging corruption in the transfers. Teachers stressed on the implementation of transfer policy in August month.
The Federation appreciated Adhaar Enabled Bio-metric Attendance System (AE-BAS) and assured full cooperation in its implementation.
The Deputy Commissioner listened to the issues sympathetically and said that he would discuss the same with the Chief Education Officer and necessary initiative will be taken.
