JAMMU, Dec 19: A deputation of Jammu and Kashmir Teachers Forum, led by Ganesh Khajuria, State general secretary, called on Director School Education Jammu and highlighted the burning problems being faced by the different cadres of Education Department.
The demands put forth by Ganesh Khajuria included providing the opportunity of typing test in favour of the well qualified class IV employees of Distt Reasi as their senior have not qualified the typing test despite the fact that they have been provided opportunities thrice by the CEO Reasi. The Forum urged DSE Jammu to give direction to the concerned CEO to allow these qualified class IV employees to appear in the typing test for promotion to Junior Assistants.
The Forum also demanded conduct of DPC of Lab Assistants to Teachers of District Poonch and streamlining the process of salaries on fast track basis of Head Teachers, Teachers and Headmasters working under erstwhile SSA and RMSA schemes, now called as Samagra.
The Director School Education Jammu, Anuradha Gupta listened patiently to all the issues and assured the deputation that every possible step would be taken to redress the genuine issues put forth by the Forum at an earliest.
Earlier, Ganesh Khajuria also met Tuffail Mattoo, State Project Director Samagra Shiksha and stressed upon to release the salaries of all the teaching community in whose favour SAC has taken a historical decision under the direction of Governor Satya Pal Malik.
Tuffail Mattoo assured the deputation that the salary issues of all the Head Teachers, Masters, Headmasters, RReTs are at the verge of final solution and it will be released shortly.
