Teachers Forum apprises DSEJ about demands, issues

JAMMU, June 30: A deputation of Jammu Kashmir Teachers Forum, led by its Chairman Ganesh Khajuria, called on Director School Education Jammu, Dr Ravi Shanker Sharma and discussed with him genuine demands of the teaching community.
The deputation, comprising of District Kathua, District Udhampur and District Jammu, also met Sanjay K Bhat, Personnel Officer in the Directorate Office Jammu and Mahesh Sharma Chief Accounts Officer/Financial Advisor in DSEJ chamber.
JKTF demanded release of salaries of Head Teachers in SSA upgraded Middle Schools and suggested creation of posts in these Schools under the Plan/Non-Plan schemes equivalent to existing Govt Middle Schools on the pattern of RMSA for a permanent solution to the problem.
The deputation also demanded adjustment of left out promoted In-charge Lecturers, charge allowance to them till their regularization, regularization of left out ReTs, time bound promotions of Teachers/ Masters who have completed their nine years of regular services in the Education Department of Zone Bani, Bhaddu, Billawar, Ramnagar, Ghordi of District Kathua and District Udhampur, time Bound Promotion to undergraduate teachers in District Kathua who were supposed to be promoted after eight years of regular service.
The JKTF also urged the Director to simplify the permission process for further studies, release of pending 6th Pay Commission arrears the Masters working in the erstwhile SSA upgraded Middle Schools in Udhampur, repatriation of the Teachers/Masters working in the hard zones for the past more than two years, etc.
After long deliberations, Director School Education Jammu gave on spot instructions to the concerned officials to expedite the process for some of the issues which were of important nature and assured Ganesh Khajuria that the matter under his domain will be sorted out at an earliest and the pending matters shall be forwarded to the Administrative department for early redressal.
In reply to demands of transfers of Teachers/Masters of Hard Zones ,the DSEJ said that the transfers of these areas will surface in a very short time.
Those present in the deputation included S Surat Singh Toofani, Rajinder Gupta, Darshan Sharma, Kuldeep Singh Bandral, Subash Sharma, Surinder Sharma, Kuldeep Verma, Gurnam Singh and others.
