Teachers Forum highlights grievances, demands

UDHAMPUR, Feb 10: A meeting of Jammu and Kashmir Teachers Forum was held today under the chairmanship of district president Surinder Sharma for highlighting the grievances and demands of the teaching community.
The Forum demanded adjustment of recently promoted Lecturers and Headmasters, releasing grant in time for salary under 2071 head to the teachers appointed under new pension scheme, selection grade for undergraduate teachers etc.
The Forum also criticized the working of Director School Education Jammu for delaying decision on the cases relating to permission for higher education, seniority benefits for various employees and updating of seniority lists of various categories.
Further, the meet said, the GP Fund deduction and different types of arrears of the teachers and masters working under SSA of various Zonal Education Officers, have not been credited to the treasuries and their accounts thus depriving them of interest.
Those who spoke on the occasion, included Kewal Krishan, Sanjay Sharma, Chaman Lal, Satvir Chowdhry, Rakesh Balwal, Rajinder Gupta, Ajay Kumar, Kuldeep Kumar and Rakesh Kumar.
