Teachers Forum meets Education Minister, Director RMSA

JAMMU, Apr 27: A deputation of Jammu Kashmir Teachers Forum, led by its State general secretary Ganesh Khajuria, called on Education Minister Altaf Bukhari and discussed issue of adjustment of leftout promotee Masters of 2014, who were affected by SRO 66 along with the situation arising out of the recent High Court verdict in this connection.
The Minister assured the delegation that as soon as the Civil Secretariat opens at Srinagar, necessary orders will be issued. The JKTF was also assured that all the necessary steps shall be taken by the Education Department to restore the honour and dignity of the teaching community.
Minister expressed his hope that the teaching fraternity shall work to the best of its capabilities to achieve the educational excellence.
The delegation of JKTF also called on the newly appointed Director RMSA, Tufail Mattoo at his office chamber hope that his vast administrative experience will be  beneficial while serving as Director RMSA.
Ganesh Khajuria apprised him of various issues concerning teaching community; such as release of timely salary, grants under RMSA, clearance of
backlog of salaries, training programmes and other schemes for the improvement of  educational scenario and welfare of teachers and students.
Mr Mattoo said that he would apply his administrative experience while serving as Director RMSA in mitigating the various problems being faced by teaching community and his efforts will reflect in the shape of improved work culture.
