JAMMU, Sept 6: Teachers Guild J&K paid rich tribute to Dr S Radhakrishnan on Teacher’s Day and exhorted the teaching community.
All the members of State executive council of Teachers Guild J&K met in its office chamber Jammu under the chairmanship of its president. The other prominent members of the Guild hailing from different parts of districts also participated.
In the meeting, Dr S Radhakrishnan was deeply remembered by the members who urged upon the teaching community to adhere to the ideology of the former and work as role model for the welfare of the society in order to remove the evils.
Guild president expressed serious concern over the degradation of educational standard in school education due to political interference and administrative helplessness. He urged upon the Government to take necessary steps in this regard by way of streaming the system.
