Teachers on expedition for release of Indian PoWs

JAMMU, June 2: To draw attention of the Government for release of Prisoners of War from Pakistan jails, the Sacred Heart School Kalyan, Maharshtra, has organized an expedition of its teachers from Kalyan to Kargil on motorbikes.
The expedition group, which was flagged off on May 28 at Durgadi Fort in Maharshtra, reached here today for its onward journey to Kargil. The group comprises 12 teachers on six motorbikes.
The objective behind this unique expedition is to draw attention of the Government for release of Indian PoWs who are in captivity of Pakistan and to salute the brave soldiers of Indian armed forces who laid their lives for the sake of country.
There are reportedly 54 Indian war prisoners in Pak jails for which whom every new day is a war in the darkness.
Through this expedition, the school also aims to create awareness among the students about the values like patriotism, leadership development, and confidence and stand for the cause of motherland.
