JAMMU, Aug 22: All J&K ReT Teachers Forum held a protest demonstration and gheraoed ZEO office, Ram Nagar, against the callous approach of the officials towards the grievances of ReT teachers.
The protest demonstration was led by State president, Vinod Sharma, district president, Lekh Raj Parihar and tehsil president, Amit Sharma.
Speaking on the occasion, Vinod Sharma alleged that ZEO officials are harassing the ReT teachers by delaying their dues. Moreover, the regularized ReT teachers in the Ram Nagar Zone celebrated their Eid without salary despite the fact that grant was received by ZEO on August 13, adding they are without pay for last two months.
He also maintained that the DA arrears in favour of ReTs, regularized after January 2010, have not paid till date and their service books not maintained.
Parihar said that the ReT regularized in June 2012 have not been issued regularized orders till date. On the top of that ReTs who have completed their two years service since September 2011 are not paid honorarium.
The protestors demanded thorough enquiry by the Department in this regard and warned to come on roads if their dues are not cleared within a month.
