Teachers to protest over non-payment of salaries

SRINAGAR, June 2: Sarva Shiksha Abhiyaan (SSA) teachers today said that they will launch strike against the government for releasing their salaries that have not been released for past four months.
A spokesman of the Jammu and Kashmir Teachers Forum said it held a meeting under its Chairman Abdul Qayoom Wani.
“The participants unanimously decided that if the government does not pay their salaries by June 9, they will hold protests,” the spokesman said.
The spokesman said in absence of salaries the teachers, their families and children have suffered in all these months.
