Teachers Welfare Association to observe ‘black day’ on Diwali

JAMMU, Oct 28: Teachers Welfare Association has decided to celebrate the Diwali festival as “Black Day”, as the Education authorities are totally unnerved and adopting lack-luster attitude in releasing the salary of SSA Teacher’s /Master’s besides New Pension Scheme employees from the last five months.
“We have been left with no option than to celebrate Diwali festival as Black Day as teachers are unable to purchase new clothes, toys, gifts for their children and family members because the Government has not initiate any measure to release the grants of salary of SSA and NPS employees despite many reminders in this regard, said , said Jasmeet Singh Madaan, president of the Assoication.
He once again appealed the Chief Minister and Finance Minister to listen to the woes of its employees and ensure immediate release of the salary of SSA Teacher’s/ Master’s besides ReTs/RRETs and New Pension Scheme employees.
