JAMMU, Oct 10: A large number of people belonging to the SC organizations called on Guru Ravi Dass Vishwa Mahapeeth International President, Dushyant Kumar Gautam who is also national vice president of BJP during his visit to Jammu today and discussed the importance of constituting such a global organization.
Led by Guru Ravi Dass Vishwa Mahapeeth, national secretary and BJP State spokesperson, Balbir Ram Rattan, a group of the members of Ravi Dass Biradari also called on Dushyant Kumar Gautam and pledged to spread the preachings of Guru Ravi Dass in the State.
Dushyant Kumar Gautam, on the occasion, said that the teachings of Guru Ravi Dass are more significant today as attempts are being made to divide the society in the name of religion and caste. This great saint was against untouchability and preached universal brotherhood. He was also against religious conversion and advocated that a person born in a religion should remain in the same for his life. The need of the hour is to work for making the nation strong and it is only possible if we follow the path shown by Guru Ravi Dass and spread his ideology among the people.
Gautam, during his meetings with various groups of people belonging to Scheduled Caste community, shared the schemes of Narendra Modi Government initiated for the empowerment of the weaker sections. He said that Modi Government is working on the line of “Sabka Saath Sabka Vikaas”, which is reflected in his policy of taking all together in progress and prosperity of the nation. He said that the SCs remained neglected during the Congress rule but BJP-led NDA Government is reaching the last man in the row to extend the benefits of various welfare schemes.
He further said that Narendra Modi Government has developed the birth places of Guru Ravi Dass, Maharishi Valmiki, Kabir Ji and Dr. B.R. Ambedkar as beautiful monuments in the memory of the great saints of the SC community, which displays the commitment of Modi Government to respect all social reformers, cutting across religious, political, caste barriers.
Renowned author of over a dozen books and International awardee, Gian Chand Dogra presented a book written by him on Dr. B.R. Ambedkar to Dushyant Kumar Gautam.
Prominent among those who accompanied Balbir included Jeet Angral, Ashok Gandhi, Yash Pal Shivgotra, Ramesh Kumar, Rakesh Angral, Manohar Lal Menia and others.
