Hundreds of devotees of Guruji participated in the programme and highlighted the rich contribution of this great saint towards the welfare of the mankind and society. Former minister and MLA Raipur-Domana, Bali Bhagat, who was special guest on the occasion, highlighted the teachings and role of Guru Ravi Dassji and said that this legendary revered saint throughout his life worked for the welfare and upliftment of poor and socially deprived sections of the society, which will remain ever relevant in the universe. Clearing the notion that Guruji belonged to some particular sect and worked for them, he said the saints are not confined to any caste, creed and colour, but they represent the entire humanity and always work for its welfare and development. Every saint has spread the message of peace, mutual brotherhood, equality and helping the poor and needy, which need to be followed by the masses in letter and spirit to attain the blissful life and ensuring lasting peace in the universe, said Mr. Bali.
Mr. Bali appealed the people to work for promoting peace, harmony and mutual brotherhood, which he said was mandatory for the progress and prosperity of the society. He asked the people to rise from the petty differences and contribute for the development of the mankind and eradicating the social evils like dowry, domestic violence against the women, drug addiction, female foeticide which are eating the vitals of the society. The social and religious organizations must come forward and work against such evils, he asserted.
