Team Jammu to distribute woollen clothes among needy people

JAMMU, Dec 14: Continuing with its mission of extending a helping hand to the needy people of Jammu province, Team Jammu will provide woollen and winter clothes to the economically backward inhabitants of remote areas in Ramban district.
This was announced by Team Jammu Chairman Zorawar Singh Jamwal while addressing a press conference here today.
“Members and volunteers of Team Jammu will personally visit to higher reaches and remote inhabitants in Ramban district for distribution of woollen clothes among needy people who are living there in harsh weather conditions without any assistance by the State Government,” Zorawar Singh Jamwal said and further elaborated that Team Jammu besides opening a collection center here in the City, it will further establish collection centres at Samba, RS Pura, Akhnoor, Jammu City, Katra and Udhampur from tomorrow to December 20 for receiving fresh woollen clothes, which will be properly re-packed and then dispatched to Ramban district for distribution among needy people.
Making fervent appeal to Jammu people to come forward and donate generously for helping the needy, who are deprived of necessities of life because of insensitive attitude of the successive State Governments towards Jammu region, particularly these remote belts of the region, Chairman Team Jammu called upon the youth including College and University students as well as educated un-employed and self-employed persons to come forward and take the lead from the front to help those who really deserve.
It may be recalled that Team Jammu was first to reach the affected families Saddal-Panjar in Udhampur district immediately after massive landslides in the area following flash floods in 2014.
Among others present were Rajesh Kapoor, Anupam Sambyal, Er Chandan Datta, Vijay Proch, Rahul Sambyal, Sunil Raipuria, Arun Jojra, Dr.Ashish Gupta and Naresh Sharma.
