JAMMU, Aug 4: Activists of Team Jammu and Jammu Justice Secular Forum (JJSF),  studying in GGM Science College and SPMR College for Commerce, Jammu, today jointly held protest demonstration against imposition of Kashmiri language in Jammu colleges.
While raising anti-Government and anti-BJP slogans, the protesting students,  led by Ratesh Chowdhary and Vikram Singh,  warned that imposition of Kashmiri and cultural aggression on the land of secular Dogras will not be tolerated at any cost.
Alleging step motherly treatment with Dogri and Dogras, they alleged that Jammu became slave of Kashmiris with so called independence from the rule of Maharaja. They even described the latest Government order where it  has reserved’ some posts for Dogri and Punjabi languages as mere eyewash and sought to know what Government wanted  to convey by reserving some seats and not rescinding its order of imposing Kashmiri language in Jammu colleges. They demanded immediately roll back of Government’s earlier order of introducing Kashmir language in Jammu province.
Coming down heavily on BJP Ministers, the student leaders pointed out that people of Jammu will not forgive the incumbent ministers from this region for their complete surrender to the Kashmir for the sake of power.  They exhorted Jammu people,  especially the student community to rise above religious and political lines to save the honour and dignity of secular Dogras.
The protesting students sought an explanation from BJP ministers over their criminal silence over the sensitive issue and further ridiculed them for befooling the people of Jammu province. “Where are those  who used to claim to be championing the cause of Jammu? Why they are silent or have become mute spectator while Kashmir leaders are continuing to play with the sentiments of secular Dogras? Are they no more Dogras now? Have they forgotten their commitment made to the people of Jammu province to act as watchdogs for the interests of Jammu?” were the volley of questions raised by student community.
Among others who addressed the protesters,  included Kuldeep, Sunil, Vishal, Nitin, Pradeep, Sahil, Hritik, Pankaj, Jameel, Abhinadan, Rajat, Vihaan, Vishal, Sahil, Rohit, Kushan, Rohit and Gopal.
