JAMMU, Jan 1: With the support of Union Minister in PMO with independent Charge of Science and Technology and Minister of Space, Dr. Jitender Singh and Coordinated by Minister of Railways and Chairman ISRO, Som Nath and Director Sudhir Kumar the students and in charge teachers of Vidya Bharti J&K Ladakh organised it’s first Vigyan Darshan programme to ISRO in which 51 young scientists and 10 Acharyas from eight schools of Bhartiya Shiksha Samiti (BSS) Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh under Vidya Bharti Akhil Bhartiya Shiksha Sansthan started their journey towards the Vigyan Darshan 2024 at Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), Shriharikota and Bengaluru. The contingent was flagged off by president Vidya Bharti JK Ladakh, Ved Bhushan Sharma in presence of Pardeep Kumar, Vidya Bharti Akhil Bhartiya Adhikari , Hari Bhushan , general secretary, Sameer Krishan Saproo, office secretary and coordinator of the programme , Pardeep Singh, Prant Vigyan Sanyojak ,Vijay Chillingpa, Prabhari Ladakh ,Ram Krishan , Ramesh Sharma, All Prant Samiti members ,senior principals of BVN Leh ,BVM Amphalla, BVM Udhampur and Prant Sanyojak Parchaar, other in charge teachers were present on the occasion.
Vidya Bharti J&K and Ladakh arranged this programme for the exposure of scientific talent among students and science teachers and were planning to make it annual feature.
The programme started from 31st December, 2023 and it will be concluded on January 9,. It is worthwhile to mention that 19 scientists in ISRO are ex students of Vidya Bharti who participated in the Chandrayan Mission. Vidya Bharti of the two UTs are running 37 schools in Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh under the guidance of 500 teachers working with missionary zeal and at present 9000 students were studying in these schools.
