JAMMU, Sept 25: Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences & Technology of Jammu bagged appreciation award in Government Institutions category in a tough competition of more than 200 organizations during 3- days Regional Agriculture and Pashu Palan Mela (North Zone level ), held at Guru Angad Dev Veterinary And Animal Science University (GADVASU) at Ludhiana.
The award was presented by Vice Chancellor of GADVASU in presence of various dignitaries.
The team of SKUAST Jammu was led by Dr Sanjay Khajuria, Senior Scientist and consisting of Dr Subhash Kashyap, Dr Arvinder Singh, Dr Prem Kumar, Dr Sanjay Aggarwal and Dr S R Upadhyay. Under the directions of Vice Chancellor, Dr K S Risam, SKUAST Jammu team displayed various technologies developed at different divisions of FOA/FVSc and KVKs during this 3-day long mela in which large number of farmers/entrepreneurs/MNCs /foreigners/scientists throng the stalls.
The team put untiring efforts to display all the technologies developed by the SKUAST for the benefit of the farmers, especially Shivalik and Kandi belt of Jammu and Punjab region.
