NEW DELHI: Congratulating all scientists on National Science Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said technology and artificial intelligence must be used to ensure welfare of poor and underprivileged.
”On National Science Day, I congratulate all our scientists and all those who work in science,” Mr Modi said in the latest edition of his monthly radio programme ‘Mann ki baat ‘.
Terming Science and technology as ‘value neutral’, he said,”Technology and artificial intelligence must be used towards ensuring welfare of poor and underprivileged. Science and technology are value neutral.
It is dependent on how we use machines. Here human intention becomes important. Technology must be used only for welfare of humankind.” (AGENCIES)
