JAMMU, May 16: Yogananda College of Engineering and Technology (YCET) inaugurated Tech Fest ‘NIRVIKALPA-2K23’amid vehemence and fervor with a purpose to discover and enhance the abilities of aspiring engineers, here today.
SP Rural Jammu, Rahul Charak was the chief guest of the function, while Senior Prosecuting Officer DPL (District Police Line), Rohit Tidyal and SDPO Domana, Vishal Shoor were the guests of honor.
Er Vidhi S. Singh, Chairman, Jamwal Group of Educational Institutions (JGEI), Shiv Dev Singh Jamwal, Vice Chairman JGEI, and Er Renu Bangroo, Managing Director JGEI welcomed the dignitaries by presenting bouquets and mementoes to them.
The inaugural ceremony for NIRVIKALPA-2K23 was embraced with the lighting of lamp ceremony which was followed by Saraswati Vandana and a patriotic song, presented by the students of YCET.
Er. Dinesh Gupta, Dean Academics, YCET presented the formal welcome address.
The chief guest in his speech encouraged the future engineers to participate in the technical fest. He exhorted the pupils to engage in the activity enthusiastically. He also praised the YCET for hosting such a significant event.
On the first day, the Carnival witnessed 13 events out of around 19 events spreading across two days. These events witnessed huge amounts of participation from the students of YCET, IMS, IECS Polytechnic, GCET, MBSCET and Govt. women Polytechnic Jammu.
The vote of thanks was presented by Er. Lovneesh Talwar, HoD Electrical Engineering Department. Dr Meenakshi Sharma, Director IMS, Er Amit Sharma Principal IECS, Er Ajay Jamwal Dean Administration, Er BR Verma, Sh RS Dalpatia and Er Anuj Tidyal PRO were also present.
