JAMMU, Feb 3: In a spectacular display of inspiration and motivation, a TEDx event was organized today at GMC Jammu amongst spell bounded faculty and medicos as its audience.
The independently organized event, licensed by TEDx not only lived up to its reputation as a platform for “ideas worth spreading” but surpassed expectations, leaving attendees inspired and invigorated. The diverse range of topics covered during the event provided attendees with a panoramic view of innovation, inspiration and the power of ideas to shape our world.
This year’s event comprised a distinguished array of speakers who shared their unique perspectives and transformative ideas on the theme “Quest for cause”. The event started with guest speakers Dr Bella Mahajan (eminent Microbiologist) and Dr Amita Gupta (eminent Gynaecologist) who spoke on their journey as a young medico to a passionate teacher.
Invited speaker, Dr Anand Mani, shared his journey from being a medico to an edtech startup entrepreneur and making a huge impact on present day medicos. The engaging talks continued with Dr Pragya Singh (a dentist) who delved into insightful rollercoaster of life events with passion and expertise in AI.
A creatively conducted act on Mental Health with fusion of poetry and music by Ritik Kaste, Radhika and Rijula was followed by a real-life experience sharing by Dr Rakesh Bahl (Professor at GMC Jammu) who delved into the art of perseverance. Dr Anuj Pachel spoke on the ideology of ‘positive prescription’ followed by Dr Farhat Umar who gave a powerful delivery on ‘holistic optimism’.
Principal, GMC Jammu, Dr Ashutosh Gupta inaugurated the event and motivated the medicos to dream, dare and get inspired during this great opportunity of undergoing MBBS.
The event was organized by MBBS students Lavanya Talwar, Arush Rasyotra, Ritik Kaste, Pragti Sharma, Lavanya Gupta, Shraddha Gupta, Hamza Ashraf, Chehek Jamwal and Jagandeep under the guidance of Dr Sandhya Arora (HoD Forensic Medicine) and Dr Sandeep Dogra (HoD Microbiology).
