UDHAMPUR, Apr 14: A teenage boy committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at his house in Ladana, Ramnagar.
According to Police, Pardeep Kumar (16), son of Kartar Chand, resident of Ladana, Tehsil Ramngar, consumed some poisonous substance at his house following which his family members rushed him to Sub District Hospital Ramnagar. However, doctors declared him as brought dead.
Locals said that father of the boy was a drunker and he used to beat his children and their mother. However, exact cause of provocation could not be ascertained.
Later, the body was sent for postmortem and after completion of all the formalities, it was handed over to the family members for the last rites.
Ramnagar Police have registered the case under Section 174 CrPC for further investigation.
