Teenage girl abducted from Khrew recovered

Srinagar, Nov 20: Police today said that it have recovered a teenage girl who was abducted from Khrew area of Pulwama district in south Kashmir by a non-local.
A police spokesman said that a person (name withheld) of Khrew area reported to police that his 15-year old sister (name withheld) had been kidnapped by some unknown person. “On receipt of this complaint, a case under FIR 206/2017 under Section 363 RPC was registered into the matter and prompt investigation was taken up,” he said.
During investigation, it transpired that the girl was kidnapped by one person namely Pikul Sk alias Raju, resident of Ajagarpara Murshidabad West Bengal. “It was also learnt that the accused person had left for his native place along with the abducted girl and accordingly a team was deputed to Jammu and accused was arrested from Jammu bus stand where he had boarded a bus,” the police spokesman said.
He said the kidnapped girl was recovered within 12 hours of her abduction and later on handed over to her parents.
