REASI, Dec 9: A teenager girl allegedly committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at her residence in Budhan area, falling under the jurisdiction of police post Sajroo.
As per police sources, a girl identified as Shazia Akhter (17), daughter of Ghulam Rasool, a resident of Ward Number 4, Budhan, Tehsil Mahore consumed some poisonous substance at her residence.
Finding her unconscious, family members shifted her to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Mahore and also informed the police. The girl was later referred to District Hospital Reasi, where she failed to respond to the treatment and breathed her last.
The body has been handed over to family members after completing medical and legal formalities.
A case in this regard has been registered and investigation started to ascertain the reason behind such extreme step by the teenage girl.
