JAMMU, Aug 3: A teenager today allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself with his father’s pistol at his residence in outskirts of Jammu city.
“A class 12th student of JP World School identified as Gourav Choudhary (16) son of Jagdev Singh, resident of House No 243, Sector E, Sainik Colony, shot himself dead at his residence in Sainik Colony, this morning”, a police officer said.
He said that the boy was allegedly upset with his parents, who last night snatched his mobile phone and rebuked him for his carelessness towards his studies and remaining busy on mobile phone.
“After conducting post-mortem, the body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites while a case was registered in this regard”, the officer said, adding, a note was recovered from the spot in which the deceased boy had mentioned his last wish.
