Teenager killed, 3 minors among 10 injured in accidents

JAMMU, Jan 20: A teenager was killed while ten others including three minors were injured in accidents.
As per police sources, a teenager was killed while two others were injured when the Maruti car they were travelling in from village Dhara to Doda skidded off the road and plunged into gorge near Dhara village of district Doda.
On getting information, police team and locals rushed to the spot and started rescue operation.
The injured persons were shifted to GMC Doda, where they were undergoing treatment when last reports came in. The body of the deceased was also retrieved from the gorge.
The deceased has been identified as Zaheer Ahmed (17), son of Sher Mohammad, a resident of Dhara, while the injured were identified as Imtiyaz Ahmed, son of Abdul Rehman of Roti Padrana and Waseem Ahmed, son of Mohammad Shafi.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at concerned Police Station and investigation initiated.
Meanwhile, six persons including three minors were injured when the Alto car they were travelling in from Ukhral to Senabati fell into gorge at Kasloos area of Senabati.
After getting information, police team rushed to the spot and started rescue operation with the help of locals. The three injured persons were shifted to District Hospital Ramban while three minors received minor injuries.
The three injured persons were identified as Haroon Iqbal, son of Mohammad IQBAL of Kanga Ramban, his wife Asiya Begum and Yasmeena Begum, wife of Mohammad Imtiaz of Bass Senabati.
In another incident, two persons were injured when a JCB machine fell into gorge while working on new road in Batroo area of Ukhral.
The injured identified as Sadam Hussain (JCB operator), son of Mohammad Musa and Jamsheed Ahmed, son of Abdul Qayoom Katoch, both residents of of Tajnihall were shifted to PHC Ukhral for treatment.
Cases under relevant Sections have been registered at Police Station Ramsu and investigation started.
