Tehsildar summons modified bike owners

POONCH, Jan 25: Executive Magistrate (Tehsildar) Haveli Anjum Bashir Khatak summoned 28 bike owners found roaming with modified bikes over the period of four months and asked shop owners dealing in modification of vehicles to show cause, why their units be not sealed within five days.
The order under number TH/J/1231 reads that “whereas, numerous complaints have been received regarding modified bikes causing noise pollution on the roads and it has been observed that these modified bikes are frequently used for stunt biking and over-speeding, Taking cognizance of these complaints, this office has taken action by summoning 28 bike owners who have been found roaming with modified bikes, over the period of last four months. They were required to remove the add-ons and furnish personal bonds with sureties in this regard,” the order said.
Therefore, having regard to the facts and circumstances of the matter, owners of all the shops/establishments dealing with illegal modification of vehicles are hereby called upon to show cause as to why their units be not sealed within 5 days hereof, failing which this order shall be made absolute authorizing SHO Police Station Poonch/Mandi /Surankote to seal any shop/establishment dealing with modification of bikes,” the order further reads.
