Tehsildars avoiding to issue OBC certificates: AIBCF

JAMMU, Feb 15: A delegation of all India Backward Classes Federation, (AIBCF) met Commissioner Secretary (Revenue) in the Civil Secretariat Jammu and presented him a memorandum of grievances.
The delegation pointed out that the Tehsildars are not fully aware of the Central Govt ruling prescribed for issuance of OBC certificate. Hence OBC people are being deprived of reservation in the Central Govt Deptts. It was requested that a Divisional level workshop be organized to streamline the process.
They pointed out that many Tehsildars have issued state OBC certificates on Central (wrong proforma) and candidates are facing problems after selection under OSC category. It was requested that all certificates issued on wrong proforma may be taken back and fresh OBC certificates be issued to each and every candidate.
Commissioner Secretary gave a patient hearing to the grievances and assured proper action. The delegation was led by Balwant Kataria and accompanied by FC Satia, president AIBCF and Kewal Krishan Fotra, vice president AIBCF.
