NEW DELHI : The Lok Sabha was adjourned till 1200 hrs when Congress members from Andhra Pradesh protested against the decision of creating a separate state of Telangana.
As soon as the House met for Question Hour, Speaker Meira Kumar read out an obituary reference for Dowarka Prasad Bairwa, a member of 12th Lok Sabha who passed away last month.
The entire House stood in silence for a while as a mark of respect for the departed soul.
After this, when the House began proceedings for Question Hour the Congress members from Andhra Pradesh trooped into the Well with banners reading ‘Save Andhra Pradesh’ and began protesting against the proposed creation of a separate state of Telangana.
