SAMBA, July 27: The irate residents of Teli Basti, Bari Brahmana blocked the road at SIDCO Chowk, Bari Brahmana today in protest against power failure.
The protesters raising slogans said that the transformer developed a snag in the area and authorities have failed to replace the same. Later Tehsildar Bari Brahmana reached the spot and assured the people that 250 kv transformer will be installed in the area soon.
Meanwhile, the electric gadgets of all the 25 residential houses in village Gagode in tehsil Vijaypur of Samba district were damaged after 11 kv line snapped due to short circuit in the area.
The people said that all the electric gadgets including refrigerators, fans, coolers and TVs were damaged in short circuit putting them to a huge loss.
