Temple of Lord Shani inaugurated

JAMMU, Aug 10: Former Minister, Gulchain Singh Charak, inaugurated replica of Shri Shani Shingnapur Temple built in Shri Lakshmi Narayan Mandir complex at Gandhi Nagar, here today.
The foundation stone of replica of Shri Shani Temple was laid down with proper religious traditions and rituals on April 23 this year. The Shani Temple has been built by one benevolent devotee, Davinder Khawle of Pune, Maharashtra, in the memory of his parents (strictly on the pattern of Shri Shani Shingnapur Temple) with his own resources.
Today installation of idol was started in the Temple with Shri Ganesh Puja at 6 AM, followed by ‘Praan Pratishtha’ with proper religious rituals by eleven learned pandits including five pandits from Shingnapur namely Sarvshri Mandhar Kulkarni, Rishikesh Kulkarni, Ananth Kulkarni, Rusbha Joshi and Deepak Kulkarni at 11 AM. There after a Yagya/Hawan was organized. Puran Aahuti was performed at 1 PM in which a large number of devotes and yajmaans participated.
After completion of the idol ceremony, the beautiful temple of Shri Shani Maharaj was inaugurated by Gulchain Singh Charak, Former Minister and president of the Management Trust, in presence of all the Management trustees and huge gathering of devotees. Later, beautifully decorated temple was thrown open for the general public.
