UDHAMPUR, Apr 21: A Tempo Traveler with fake registration numbers was seized during checking at Chenani, here today.
According to Police sources, the Tempo Traveler was intercepted by Traffic Police during a naka laid under the supervision of DySP Traffic Himat Singh. During scrutiny of documents, it came to fore that the vehicle was having a fake registration number.
The vehicle was seized and its driver, identified as Fareed Ahmed, son of Shamus Din of Berni, Tehsil Bhalla District Doda, were arrested.
Later, the vehicle and the arrested drivers were handed over to Chenani Police for legal action under law.
A case under relevant sections of law has been registered against the arrested drivers at Police Station Chenani and investigation has been started.
