JAMMU, June 13:  J&K Temporary Teachers Association has threatened to take extreme step if their services are not continued after the summer vacations.
“If the Government failed to provide justice and does not fulfill the assurance given by the Education Minister Naeem Akhtar, the Association will take extreme step and never believe on any commitment of the Government,” said Balwinder Singh Pawar, president of the Association, while addressing a press conference, here today.
He claimed that the Association had suspended their 43-day long chain hunger striker on the assurance of Education Minister, who had again promised to continue the service of Temporary teachers after this summer vacations when a delegation of the Association called on him recently.
Mr Pawar appealed to all the Temporary Teachers to remain united and ready for further course of action, which would be intimated to them at appropriate time. He justified the demand for continuation of services of Temporary Teachers and said that the Association was not demanding anything non-genuine.
Bhopinder Chowdhary, Vicky Saini, Vinay Kumar, Rajni Gupta and Jyoti Devi were also present in the press conference.
