Ten bovines rescued, 3 smugglers held

JAMMU, Feb 28: Nagrota Police today foiled a bovine smuggling bid with the arrest of 3 suspected smugglers and rescue 10 bovine animals from their clutches.
During routine naka checking at Ban Toll Plaza, a team of Police Station Nagrota intercepted a vehicle bearing registration number JK02AD-1443 and on checking of the vehicle, 10 bovine animals were found loaded in it.
The bovines were rescued and a case FIR Number 76/2022 U/S 188/34/IPC 11 PCA was registered in this connection at Police Station Nagrota. Three accused identified as Bota Ram son of Dewan Chand of Jammu, Farooq Ahmed Sher Gojri son of Ghulam Ahmed Sher Gojri of Pulwama and Akbar son of Abdul Rehim Dar of Muran Pulwama were also arrested.
The arrests and recoveries were made by SHO Ppolice Station Nagrota Inspector Vishav Pratap Singh under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Pardeep Kumar.
Further investigation of the case was going on.
