Tension after sacrilegious act at Jhallas, 3 held

POONCH, Mar 15: Communal tension gripped Jhallas village near the LoC this afternoon after sacrilegious act was reported in the area.
Reports said that members of one community came out on the road and lodged their strong protest after they came to know about the killing of a bovine animal by some miscreants in the nearby fields. The police party from Poonch led by SHO, Insp Nishant Gupta reached the spot and defused the situation. He pacified the protesting people and assured action in this regard.
Later, the police managed to identify three accused and arrested them. They were identified as Moulvi Imtiaz, Mohd Kabir and Khadam Hussain, all residents of Bhera hamlet of Jhallas village. The police registered a case FIR No. 43/ 2020 against them. Further investigation was in progress.
