Terrorism victims of Jammu region being ignored: BJP

REASI, Dec 28: BJP MP Avinash Roy Khanna while expressing his serious concern over the plight of 800 terror victim families camping at Talwara and Jyotipuram areas of the district said they have met a grave injustice through the hands of State and Central Governments.
Talking to these families leading a refugee life in twin camps of Talwara and Jyotipuram after reaching here this morning to provide some relief material to them Mr Khanna said the terrorism victims of Jammu region are passing through the worst phase of their lives at present.
He said that steps have been taken for rehabilitation of those who waged a war against the nation but the real sufferers of terrorism have been ignored. This is an apathy on the part of Government towards these hapless people that the real sufferers of terrorism are being ignored.
Mr Khanna assured these migrants that he will meet Prime Minister and apprise him of their condition and problems besides he will take up the issue in Parliament also and seek reply from Government that why these migrants have been subjected to injustice.
Mr Khanna said these victims are slaves in free India and the career of their children has been ruined. He assured them that he will try to take all steps to provide help and relief to them.
He urged the Government to take steps for their honorable rehabilitation in their homes with honour and dignity and restore their land which has been forcibly occupied by some anti social elements.
Mr Khanna who was accompanied by BJP National Executive member Dr Nirmal Singh, Party secretary, Ravinder Raina, senior leader Kabla Singh and district president or Party for Reasi Ajay Nanda earlier distributed relief among the 500 families of Talwara migrants.
To show his total solidarity with the victims of terrorism he also chose to spent a night with these migrants and stayed in the camp of Lambardar Budhi Singh.
The terrorism victims from Prankote, Mahore, Takikote, Narla, Bhambal, Chirala, Kote, and victims from upper region of tehsil Reasi, Rajouri and Poonch districts are camping in these camps.
