SRINAGAR, Nov 21: The Director of Health Services Kashmir, Dr Mushtaq Ahmad Rather today visited Emergency Hospital Qazigund, PHC Qazigund and took stock of Covid-19 testing facility on Srinagar-Jammu Highway even as he directed the concerned officials to step up the testing and ensure that every passenger entering Kashmir is tested for COVID.
A spokesperson of the Directorate of Health Services Kashmir said the Director was accompanied by Chief Medical Officer Kulgam and Block Medical Officer, Qazigund besides other Health officials.
The Director visited all the sections of Emergency Hospital, Qazigund and took a review of the health facilities being provided to patients.
He also took the first-hand appraisal of oxygen facilities at the Emergency hospital.
During the visit, the Director was informed that a 300 LPM oxygen facility is ready and will be inaugurated at the Wmergency hospital soon.
He also took a review of the Covid-19 testing facility on strategic Srinagar-Jammu Highway near the entry point of Qazigund tunnel (Zig Tunnel).
During visit, the Director also met a delegation of locals and senior citizens of Qazigund who demanded a CT scan facility in hospital.
