Thakur calls on Principal Secy BK Singh

JAMMU, Mar 25: Amar Nath Thakur, president Plus-2 DPC Lecturers Forum today called on Principal Secretary School Education Department, BK Singh and submitted two separate memorandums regarding completing the regularization process of all 27 left out subjects of In-charge Lecturers and Officers of the Department as well as sanctioning of teaching staff in all hanging High Schools and Zones.
The Principal Secretary assured that a DPC meeting to regularise ZEOs and Headmasters would be convened very soon as necessary papers are being completed and scrutinized. He also assured that the Department to implement Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) judgement of Jammu bench in favour of all In-charge Lecturers in the coming DPC meeting, regularization of all Lectures who were cleared by DPC earlier would be issued, regularisation orders of In-charge Lecturers who have done PG through correspondence mode in Science streams would be issued subject to re-verification by the department concerned.
Regarding sanctioning of teaching staff and non teaching staff in hanging High Schools and Zones, the Secretary said that it is impossible at this time as the department is rationalizing all posts of teaching staff only.
Thakur informed the Principal Secretary that in rural areas like Sadrota in Kathua district, only three teachers that too ReT are manning the School as no Headmaster’s post or other staff is sanctioned so far since the integration of School in 2003.
Thakur requested him (Principal Secretary) to direct all CEOs to depute Lecturers and teachers in all under staff Schools, so that students’ studies may not suffer as well as relieving the teachers who were deployed in COVID related duties at Lakhanpur.
The Principal Secretary on the spot directed the concerned to immediately relieve all teaching staff and implement Government order issued earlier on deployment and attachments.
Lecturers including Tara Mani and Jagdev Singh were also part of the deputation.
