RAJOURI, June 15: The vehicular traffic on Rajouri-Thanamandi-Bafliaz-Surankote road remained suspended after land slides near Dera Gali mountain pass today.
Official sources said that due to heavy rain in the area during last night, landslide took place during morning hours near Dera Gali at around 7.30 am. With this, the movement of traffic on both the sides was suspended. The vehicles on both sides of the road remained stranded for over five hours.
With the intervention of Tehsildar Thanamandi, the BRO authorities started operation clearance and restored the road at around 1 pm. All the stranded vehicles were then cleared.
